yk Releases “Kakuriyo” on Streaming Services
yk’s work “Kakuriyo” is a Japanese horror–inspired dark ambient piece that sonically depicts a near-death experience. It was originally released on cassette tape in December 2024 via the horror label Kikizte.
Though it had only been available in cassette format until now, it has been remastered and will be released on various streaming platforms through our independent label, GoodDog Records.
On the cassette version, the A-side was labeled simply as “Kakuriyo” and the B-side as “Kanokishi.” For streaming distribution, the work has been divided into 13 tracks.
The A-side “Kakuriyo” corresponds to tracks “Corrosion” through “Kakuriyo,” while the B-side “Higan” corresponds to “The Border” through “Sea of Mourning.”
The cassette edition is still available via Kikizte.
A special version is also offered, which includes incense inspired by the music, created by Yurasu Kaori and Mamiko Imai. Be sure to check it out.
